LOCATION

Located in Castellaneta Marina, in the Ionic Tarantino arch, Calanè Village is nestled in the protected natural area of Stornara. It is one of the villages of the Ethra Reserve park, a renowned tourist complex by Bluserena, together with Valentino Village (4 stars), Alborèa Ecolodge Resort and Kalidria Hotel & Thalasso SPA (both 5 stars). The airports of Brindisi and Bari are about 100 km away.

Hotels

The Calanè Resort is a true paradise for those who want to experience a holiday of sea, sport, music and fun without giving up relaxation. The resort is located in Apulia, in Castellaneta Marina, about 100 km away from the airports of Bari and Brindisi. Consisting of several three-storey buildings and 185 rooms, it offers a private fine sandy beach equipped with reserved umbrellas, sunbeds and deckchairs, and a bar just a few steps away from the beach (shuttle bus to the sea available, about 13 minutes' drive). In addition, four restaurants, swimming pools, sports fields and activities. The Ethra Reserve complex also hosts the exclusive Ethra Thalasso SPA, beauty SPA, inside the adjacent Kalidria Hotel & Thalasso SPA, which Calanè Resort guests can also access, for a fee.

Rooms

185 rooms, located in 3-storey buildings, divided into Classic, Superior, Premium and Family rooms. Rooms on the ground floor have a terrace, rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors have a balcony. Communicating rooms and rooms for the disabled are available on request. 

Dog Room: Small dogs are allowed (maximum 10 kg and with health certificate). Accommodation will be in a Classic room with a small balcony equipped with a kennel and a bowl for food and water. Dogs may only circulate in the resort in reserved areas and on dedicated routes (e.g. not on the beach, restaurant, amphitheatre or piazzetta), on a leash. There is no provision of food for the dog. The number of places is limited and no other animals or dogs are allowed. Guests staying with their dog will be required to comply with the regulations sent with the booking confirmation.

Wellness Centre

The exclusive SPA of the adjacent Kalidria Hotel & Thalasso SPA 5* is also available to the guests of Calanè Village (upon reservation and availability, for a fee). Spread over an area of 3,500 square meters, it offers thalassotherapy treatments, massages, wellness paths, solarium cabin.

Beach

The Calanè Resort has wide sandy and private beaches. The sea has a sandy, sloping seabed and is suitable for children to swim in. Reserved places on the beach: each room is assigned a beach umbrella with a sunbed and a deckchair. Parasols in the first rows and/or in the central area for a fee. On the beach water park with pedalos, canoes, sailing, windsurfing, paddle surfing boards. Details in the Sport section. At the Calanè Resort, Wing Sup, a fun activity with a wing sail and a paddle surf board, to dominate the wind, open to all. Changing rooms and showers, bar, information desk are also available.

Pools

At the Calanè Resort there is a swimming pool with seawater, whirlpools and water games.

Restaurant

In addition to the central restaurant Il Patio, guests at the Calanè Resort can also enjoy the following restaurants: Scirò, a seaside restaurant open for lunch, the gourmet restaurant Il Gusto, open for dinner, and Pizzeria Ethra (at the adjacent Valentino Resort) open for dinner. All free of charge, open at least 6 days a week, from 10.06 to 08.09.2024 and subject to limited availability. Pensione Più customers are entitled to one access per person for each restaurant for a minimum stay of 7 nights. Pensione Extra customers are entitled, for each restaurant, to a maximum of two entries per person for stays of 7 nights. With the Jolly Formula, unlimited access, subject to reservation.

Central restaurant: buffet breakfast with non-express coffee (from dispensers or automatic dispensers with coffee beans), buffet lunch and dinner with show cooking, draught wine and microfiltered water included with meals. 
Also includes reserved lunch for Mini Club children and Teen Club and Young Club children from 3/6 to 7/9.

ALL INCLUSIVE

In addition to the services provided by Pensione Più, it includes:

Entitles you to unlimited access to the resort's themed restaurants, subject to reservation during your stay. The formula is available from 10/6 to 8/9 and subject to limited availability.

Baby Kitchen Dedicated to parents (with tables, chairs and highchairs) for baby food for children 0-3 years old, with assistance and availability of basic products during main meal times: vegetable and meat broths, vegetable puree, pastries, meat slices, fish fillets, cooked ham, dairy products, fresh fruit, fresh milk, soya milk, rice milk, lactose-free milk, yoghurt, jams, tea and camomile tea, biscuits. Homogenised baby food, cheese and milk for infants, both liquid and powdered, are not available. It will also be possible to heat milk and baby food, sterilise, blend, homogenise. It is accessible from 06:00 to 00:00, during closing times you can contact the reception desk.

Food intolerances

Bluserena pays special attention to the well-being of guests both in the offer and in the correct information on allergens for each dish offered. Due to the size and organisation of the kitchens, it is not possible to offer customisation of dishes to suit individual allergies, but in all central restaurants a basic assortment of gluten-free, lactose-free and egg-free food is guaranteed (although it must be emphasised that it is not possible to guarantee, due to the structural characteristics of the kitchens, the absolute absence of contamination for any type of intolerance, except for packaged products).

Families

The Bluserena world of children and young people is unique and offers a great variety of services: the clubs, where children and young people can be looked after by qualified staff; the large playground; the Blu Baby Park for the little ones from 0 to 6 years old; the swimming pools with water slides, the Acqua Parks with water games; spaces dedicated to children; the presence in the resort of the mascot Serenella.

Blu Baby Park: a tailor-made playground for children from 0 to 6 years old to play in complete freedom and safety. Children, accompanied by their parents, will be able to play on slides, castles and swings, race on pedal karts on a real track, and much more. 

At the Baby Daycare, Serenino Club, SereninoPiù Club, SerenUp and SerenHappy, children and teens will be entrusted to a highly qualified entertainment staff, who will offer a rich programme of games, sports, leisure and recreational activities. All services are designed, structured and segmented according to age groups:

Baby Daycare - Nursery from 12 to 36 months

A relaxing holiday for mums and dads, while the little ones will be "cradled" by the safe arms of qualified and carefully selected nursery staff in a dedicated, equipped and air-conditioned space. The welcoming and safe Baby Daycare area - at the adjacent Calanè Resort - is child-sized, air-conditioned and offers a real programme of games and activities tailored to the little ones. The girls on staff will be playmates, delight the children with snacks and snacks, and provide naptime and nappy changes. Group outings in buggies are also planned. Parents will be provided with bibs, bottles, dummies, non-slip socks, sunscreen and nappies. Parents can participate in some of their baby's activities. The service is available, for a fee, every day except Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. from 15.07 to 07.09.2024. It is also possible to book Baby Daycare for the morning or afternoon only.

Serenino Club - Mini Club for children from 3 to 5 years of age

Qualified assistance, exclusive, safe, colourful and child-friendly environments, for a holiday with lots of sea, games, sports and creative workshops.

SereninoPiù Club - Mini Club for children from 6 to 10 years old

All the activities at the SereninoPiù Club are designed for the enjoyment of older children and, in addition to the Serenino, offers numerous activities in the name of creativity.

SerenUp - Teeny Club for 11 to 14 year olds

Sea, sport, music, challenges, workshops, for a holiday full of new stimuli and excitement, together with lots of new friends, parties and games.

SerenHappy - Junior Club for 14-17 year olds

In addition to sea and sport, the SerenHappy juniors have a programme full of activities.

Medical care: at Ethra Reserve the doctor is resident and on call 24 hours a day. Medical practice at the adjacent Valentino Resort, open at set times, morning and afternoon, with free examinations. Visits are charged at other times and outside the medical office.

Sport

For fitness lovers, in addition to the modern fitness area, there are many other activities: Yoga, Zumba, Tai chi Stretch (new 2024), Acquagym, Nordic Walking, Latin fitness (new 2024), dance and aerobic gymnastics come together in an intense experience to the rhythm of hip-hop, samba and salsa; jump fitness, the trampoline that helps you burn calories to the rhythm of music (at the adjacent Valentino Resort).
