Leporano Beaches

New Call-to-action

Leporano Marina, in the province of Taranto, offers a series of enchanting beaches, ideal for various activities and tastes. Characterized by small coves of fine, golden sand along a rocky coastline, these beaches are a mix of natural beauty and services for visitors.

Leporano Marina stands out for its tranquility, away from mass tourism, and for its lesser-known but wonderful beaches, such as Porto Pirrone and Saturo Beach, making it an ideal destination for those seeking an authentic and natural experience in Puglia.

Gandoli Bay

Gandoli Bay, located in Leporano Marina in the province of Taranto, is a picturesque crescent-shaped beach. This small cove, nestled between Saturo Beach and the Blandamura cliff, offers a stretch of clear, fine sand, lapped by crystal-clear waters. The beach is mainly managed by bathing establishments, with limited free beach space that tends to get crowded during the summer. The shallow and sloping seabed makes Gandoli Bay ideal for families with children and tourists of all ages. Sports enthusiasts can engage in activities such as snorkeling, beach volleyball, and beach tennis, taking advantage of the clear waters and available equipment.

We particularly recommend Lido Gandoli, a perfect destination for those seeking both relaxation and fun. It offers modern and comfortable amenities for a day at the beach, and a terrace overlooking the sea for enjoying drinks and snacks under the sun. The Oltre restaurant at the lido offers a wide variety of dishes, from local cuisine to pizza, catering to all tastes. Evenings at Lido Gandoli are lively with great music, creating a charming atmosphere for an unforgettable summer vacation.

Available Services:

  • Bathing establishments

Porto Pirrone

Porto Pirrone, located near Leporano and just over 10 km from Taranto, is a beach reminiscent of the Caribbean with its transparent waters and fine sand. The locality is famous for its natural beauty, with crystal-clear azure waters, abundant marine life near submerged rocks, and a landscape dotted with cliffs and promontories. At sunset, the beach becomes an unforgettable spectacle of colors.

Porto Pirrone is also a place of great historical and archaeological interest. It is said that Taras, son of Poseidon, founded a settlement here about 2000 years ago, and the area was important for Magna Graecia. The Archaeological Park of Saturo, located on the promontory between the beaches of Saturo and Porto Pirrone, contains archaeological remains from the Neolithic age to World War II, including a Roman villa from the 3rd century AD and an anti-piracy tower from the 1500s AD.

Saturo Bay

The Saturo Beach in Leporano Marina is a splendid basin of very fine sand, nestled between rugged cliffs, with crystal-clear waters and a gently sloping seabed, making it ideal for swimming even for the little ones. This bay is home to the Lido Canneto Beach establishment, which offers exclusive services.

Also of interest are the nearby 16th-century Spanish Tower and the Archaeological Park with remains of a Roman Villa, making the place perfect for history and snorkeling enthusiasts.

About 400 meters from the beach, there is free parking, as well as paid parking closer by. It is recommended to arrive before 8:30 in the morning to find parking more easily.

Recently, a walkway for disabled people has been inaugurated, making the beach accessible to everyone. This walkway, 50 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, is equipped with an access ramp, a platform with amphibious wheelchairs, an accessible shower, and reserved parking spaces.
