Beaches of Marina di Lizzano
The Beaches of Marina di Lizzano, extending along almost 7 kilometers of the Salento coastline, offer a breathtaking panorama of light sand and crystal-clear waters. These beaches are characterized by a wide coastline, adorned with dune systems of remarkable integrity, recognized by UNESCO as environmental heritage. This stretch of coast alternates sandy beaches with cliffs and Mediterranean scrub dunes, creating a unique and varied landscape.
The sandy beaches, some free and others equipped with beach resorts like Onda Blu, Blu Sun, and Baia del Sol, overlook a turquoise and blue sea, ideal for swimming and bathing. Despite the limited presence of services and tourist facilities nearby, except for Pulsano, the beach has been awarded the Green Flag, a recognition given to maritime municipalities with child-friendly beaches.
In addition to its beautiful beaches, Marina di Lizzano features rosemary-covered dunes, awarded by UNESCO, and offers the opportunity to practice water sports such as snorkeling. The area is also characterized by a vast dune system, rich in protected flora like the juniper and interrupted by small marshes and extensive pine and holm oak forests.
List of available services:
