LOCATION

The Alborèa Ecolodge Resort fits harmoniously in the Stornara Biogenetic Nature Reserve, whose coastal wood of Aleppo pines enfolds the 124 Ecolodge Suites of the resort. 

Alborèa forms part of the Ethra Reserve Complex of Castellaneta, whose numerous services and attractions are linked by means of internal pathways, suitable for walking and biking. 

Brindisi and Bari airports are about 100 km away.  

Hotel

The Alborèa Ecolodge Resort in Apulia, within the Ethra Reserve complex, is characterised by its fine architecture, perfectly integrated into the Stornara nature reserve.

The 119 Ecolodge Suites of 50 square metres are independent, on one floor and surrounded by greenery, each with an outdoor patio. The resort is joined to the sea by a beautiful pine forest.

The large private beach of fine sand, hemmed in by characteristic dunes and washed by a crystal-clear sea, is set in a stretch of deserted coastline more than 5 km long and can be reached by a convenient shuttle bus. The sea bed is sandy and suitable for children's bathing.

The Alborèa Ecolodge Resort offers the services of Ethra Reserve designed for the whole family: clubs and activities dedicated to children and young people from 12 months to 17 years of age, a rich proposal of activities and sports facilities, and large spaces for evening shows. Guests of the Alborèa Ecolodge Resort have access to the common areas and sports and animation activities of the adjacent Valentino Resort and Calanè Resort. Also available is the Ethra Thalasso SPA, an exclusive beauty SPA inside the adjacent Kalidria Hotel & Thalasso SPA, with two seawater swimming pools, one outdoor and one indoor with an Aquatonic Marine Path, and an open-air wellness oasis with Jacuzzi whirlpools, solarium and fitness area.

Rooms 

119 Ecolodge Suites are available, all 50 sq. m., self-contained, set on one floor and surrounded by pine forest, each with outdoor patio equipped with table and chairs. Studio and two-room apartments available. Some have kitchenette with hotplate and sink, to be requested when booking (limited availability).

Ecolodge Suite Classic Mono

Ecolodge Suites are 50 square meters, self-contained. They consist of large open space with living room, double sofa bed and area with double bed. They have 2 bathrooms (one of them with only washbasin and Jacuzzi), air conditioning, TV with Sky, Wi-Fi, telephone, mini-fridge, coffee maker, safe.

Ecolodge Suite Classic Bilo

Ecolodge Suites of 50 square meters, independent. They consist of two rooms divided by door: master bedroom with two French beds and compartment with sitting area and two single beds, double TV with Sky. They have 2 bathrooms (one of them with only sink and whirlpool tub), air conditioning, Wi-Fi, telephone, mini-fridge, coffee maker, safe. Two-room suites for the disabled available.

Ecolodge Suite Executive Mono

Ecolodge Suites of 50 sqm, self-contained. Located near the main services, they consist of large open space with living room, double sofa bed and area with double bed. They have 2 bathrooms (one of which has only a sink and whirlpool tub). In addition to the amenities of the Classic, they include 2 bikes for adults, Kettle with herbal teas and tea, reserved umbrella in the 1st row, 1 Marine Aquatic Path per day for 2 people.

Ecolodge Suite Executive Bilo

Ecolodge Suites of 50 sqm, independent. Located close to the main services. They consist of two rooms divided by door: master bedroom with two French beds and compartment with sitting area and two single beds, double TV with Sky. They have 2 bathrooms (one of them with only washbasin and whirlpool tub). In addition to the amenities of the Classic, they include 2 bikes for adults, Kettle with herbal teas and tea, reserved umbrella in the 1st row, 1 Marine Aquatic Path per day for 2 people.

Dog Room

Available, upon request, Ecolodge Suite Classic in which small dogs of maximum 10 kg are allowed. Your pooch will stay in the garden of your own Classic Lodge, in dedicated fenced area, equipped with kennel and bowls for food and water. Limited availability, must be reserved.

Wellness Centre 

With its 3500 m² dedicated to relaxation, the exclusive Spa of the Alborèa Ecolodge Resort offers guests: an external and internal pools, a Marina Acquatonic pathway, a Thalassos Oasis with external Jacuzzi tubs, a sauna, Turkish bath, hydro-massage, a solarium area plus a fitness area.  
There are also available wellness and ‘remise en forme’ pathways, beauty treatments for face and body, massages and thalassotherapy programmes. 

The Spa is located at the Kalidria Hotel, within the same Ethra Reserve complex. It can be reached on foot or by shuttle bus, available throughout the day at the resort.

 Beach 

The resort offers its guests a large private beach, set on a quiet shore area measuring more than 5 km, excellently suited to kids’ bathing needs.  

The beach can be easily reached by a comfortable shuttle bas (service available free of charge from 8 am to 7.00 pm). At the beach guests will find a bar and restaurant grill, showers and changing facilities; beach towels are available free of charge.  

Each family has its own reserved beach umbrella with two sun beds and a small table for the length of their stay (first line included for the Ecolodge Executive Suites). 

Available to guests are: sailing boats (except when regattas are in progress), windsurf, canoe and pedalos, beach volley /beach tennis courts, private and group sailing courses.

FULL BOARD BLUSERENA 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet with show cooking, bottled water included. One access per week at Pizzeria Ethra (in Valentino Resort area) open for dinner; Sea Box to be consumed on the beach. On the beach, one beach umbrella assigned with two sunbeds, use of beach towel from 3 years old. Use of the Baby Kitchen.

EXTRA BOARD

In addition to the services of the Pensione Più, at the Bar: cafeteria, soft drinks, draught beer, fruit juices (in 20 cl. glasses), syrups, slushies, selection of national and international spirits and super-alcohols, aperitifs and, from 19:30, selection of cocktails. During meals, beer, orangeade and coca cola on tap in 20 cl glasses. Two entrées per week at Pizzeria Ethra (at dinner).

Food intolerances

Bluserena pays special attention to the well-being of guests both in the offer and in the correct information on allergens for each dish offered. Due to the size and organisation of the kitchens, it is not possible to offer customisation of dishes to suit individual allergies, but in all central restaurants a basic assortment of gluten-free, lactose-free and egg-free food is guaranteed (although it must be emphasised that it is not possible to guarantee, due to the structural characteristics of the kitchens, the absolute absence of contamination for any type of intolerance, except for packaged products).

Families 

The small guests of the Alborèa can use the communal services of the Ethra Reserve, such as the extensive playground or the Spray park, where kids up to 12 years of age can play happily among water games, fountains and slides.  
Children and kids may choose between an extremely varied programme of sports and recreational activities, under the guidance of expert instructors and qualified entertainers: football school (kids aged 5 to 14), collective swimming lessons (from 3 years), dance school with introductory and ballet classes for girls aged 5 to 7, modern dancing for girls aged 8 - 14), Bluserena Circus Lab (juggling, balancing, acrobatics, micro magic and slack line), and the ‘Serenino Serale’ evening programme (from 21:30 to 23:30, games, activities and theme parties for children aged 3 - 10).  

Divided and studied by age bracket, the activities of the Ethra Reserve Club are available every day, except Sundays, from 1 June to 12 September 2020- only the SereninoClub and SereninoPiùClub are available from 24 May to 20 September:

A host of sports activities, such as football, kayaking and sailing classes and a modern dancing school; Bluserena Musical School, a lab for singing, dancing and acting; amusing action games such as Blaster Challenge and Play Your Role Game, and ‘grown up’ emotions such as Sleep Over, with supper under the stars and a night in a tent, Pizza Party on the Beach and a seaside picnic.

Kids of 14+ can choose whether to register with Serenup or Serenhappy.

Alborèa makes available to mums a fully equipped kitchen (grill, fridge, sink, tables and chairs, pots and pans, crockery, bottle-warmer, microwave, blender, steriliser and homogenizer) available round the clock.  
During assistance times there is free availability of pre-packed products (cocoa powder, assorted yogurts, water, honey, jams and marmalades, rusks, tea, chamomile tea, grain semolina, pasta, biscuits …), ready to use products (boiled rice, vegetable broth, meat broth, tomato sauce, vegetables...) and fresh products (fruit and vegetables, fresh meat, milk, ricotta, eggs, fish fillets ...). 

From 20 June 2020 to 5 September 2020, Ethra Reserve offers the services of a resident doctor, on call round the clock. 

Sport 

Alborèa Ecolodge Resort has two tennis courts and a swimming pool with seawater, whirlpools and water games. Guests can also use the facilities of the adjacent Valentino Resort and Calanè Resort: tennis courts, bowling, archery and shooting range, table tennis; group lessons in swimming, tennis, archery and shooting range from 27.05 to 07.09.2024. Modern fitness area with the assistance of qualified instructors at scheduled times, equipped with isotonic machines, dumbbells, walking mat, spinning bikes, balance board, strength development rope, group gymnastics and many other activities: Yoga, Zumba, Tai chi Stretch (new 2024), Aquagym, Nordic Walking, Latin fitness (new 2024), dance and aerobic gymnastics come together in an intense experience to the rhythms of hip-hop, samba and salsa; jump fitness, the trampoline that helps you burn calories to the beat of the music. New for 2024, Wing Sup, a fun activity open to all, to master the wind with a wing sail and paddle surf board.

Services and activities 

The price of your stay includes: vehicle parking, Wi-Fi connection, free access to fitness area and use of equipment, collective sailing and windsurfing classes, tennis, archery, target practice, use of kayaks, SUP boards, pedal boats and sailing boats and windsurfs, beach service with beach umbrella and sun beds, beach towels and shuttle bus service. 

The following attract payment: wellness treatments and services, massages and beauty treatments, individual lessons, boat and inflatable excursions.

Doctor on call round the clock (free visits at times to be established). 

Small dogs welcome (max 10 kg). 


Arrivals and departures are planned for Sundays in the absence of specific requests.  

Check-in: room handover from 14:30, is guaranteed by 16:00.  
Your stay includes dinner on arrival day and lunch on the day of departure (can be replaced by a packed meal). On request, you can begin your stay with lunch and end with breakfast on the day of departure.  

Check-out: you must free the room and beach umbrella by 11:00.
Late check-out is available and attracts payment, according to availability (try and request when booking or at the Resort, within two days of departure).
