Location

The Basiliani Hotel is located just 800 m from the historic centre of Otranto, the cathedral and its medieval castle. Anciently a meeting point of Western and Eastern cultures, a crossroads of trade and exchange with the East, Otranto is one of the most enchanting towns in the Salento. It is located on the eastern tip of Italy and overlooks a beautiful bay of the same name.

The Basiliani Hotel is 97 km from Brindisi airport, 215 km from Bari airport, 68 km from Gallipoli, 46 km from Lecce and 58 km from Santa Maria di Leuca. 

Hotel 

The Spa Hotel Basiliani has wide patios, outdoor terraces and stone paths, typical of the local architecture. 

Rooms

Elegant and refined rooms, equipped with every comfort, air conditioning, telephone, TV, wifi, safe, minibar (equipped on request). There are Standard rooms (1/2 beds) with a single room, some with balcony/patio, adjacent to the main hotel building, accessed via an external path and lift or staircase; Superior rooms (2/4 beds) with a single room in the main building with a double bed and a single bed or bunk bed, many with balcony and most with pool view; Suites with a double room (2/4 beds) in the main hotel building with entrance room with sofa bed and double room, with supplement to be calculated on the Superior rate; Suites with Jacuzzi (2+1 beds) with a single room and Jacuzzi in the room. Among the Superior rooms, 2 rooms are equipped for the disabled. All bathrooms have a shower with shower cabin.

Upon arrival, it is compulsory to show documents proving the date of birth of children and infants. If this is not done, the reduction will not be granted. Ages are defined as years of age at the time of arrival at the hotel.

Wellness Center

"Il Melograno", the Basiliani's splendid 2000-square-metre wellness centre, is the best place to find wellness and rediscover harmony between mind and body. Among the numerous massage rooms and the wide choice of treatments, the wellness centre has a sun shower, a wet area with 3 heated indoor pools at different temperatures, one of which is 220 square metres equipped with hydromassage beds and hydromassage area, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, aromarium, emotional showers, a hammam room and a relaxation area with herbal tea room. Inside the centre there is also a SPA SUITE dedicated to couples with exclusive services. At the wellness centre reception, costumes and beauty products are on sale.
Entrance to the wellness centre is permitted to persons over 16 years of age.
Opening hours on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Beach

The equipped beach is the Lido Balnearea - Alimini (about 10 km away) providing umbrellas and sunbeds by reservation, for a fee, subject to availability. A shuttle service is available at fixed times, also by reservation and subject to availability. The beach and the shuttle bus are available exclusively from 30/05 to 30/09 (flexible dates).

Beach costs: 

€ 20,00 per day, per room, in June and September (1 sun umbrella and 2 sun beds + shuttle bus from/to the lido upon reservation, subject to availability).

€ 30,00 per day, per room, in July and August (1 sun umbrella and 2 sun beds + shuttle bus from/to the lido upon reservation, subject to availability).

Restaurant

The fine restaurant "Gli Ulivi" features a large air-conditioned indoor dining room with bar and an outdoor, partly covered terrace overlooking the pool.
Service is table service with water included with meals.

Special for celiacs: in addition to the buffet, basic products are provided: bread, pasta and cookies; vegan menu available. Products for other intolerances are not guaranteed.

Hours: Lunch: 12:30 - 14:30 - Dinner: 19:30 - 21:30.

B&B Treatment (January 01 to December 30) includes overnight stay and buffet breakfast at the fine Gli Ulivi restaurant with outdoor terrace.

Half Board Treatment: All services contained in B&B and dinner with table service at the Hotel's fine restaurant. From 26/05 to 22/09 typical Apulian dinner once a week.

Full Board Treatment: From January 1 to April 30 and from October 16 to December 30 available only of the weekend (Saturday/Sunday) in the remaining periods only Carta Snack.

Snack Card (May 01 to October 15): available every day for lunch with table service at the hotel pool or at one of the bars (to be adjusted on site). In the remaining periods, the restaurant is open for lunch only on weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with table service and fixed supplement for Guests with half board.

Bars: Bar Basilio, located in the lobby, where welcome drinks can be enjoyed, accompanied by pleasant background music to give a lively start to the vacation; Bar Oriente in the pool area, where you can fully enjoy magical hours of relaxation framed by the play of light from the evening sky; Bar del Borgo located in the roof garden.

Room Release and Delivery: Rooms are delivered from 16.00 on the day of arrival and must be released by 11.00 on the day of departure. Guarded luggage storage is available to allow you to enjoy a few more hours of relaxation after room release and before departure.

Stays: minimum 5 nights required from 11 to 18 August, in the remaining periods free stays.
